Impact a Hero 5k

We could not have asked for more beautiful weather this past Saturday as Team ADA put on their running shoes for the 2014 Impact a Hero 5k. Impact a Hero was started in Cincinnati, Ohio in 2004 by Richard Lynch. When men and women returned from the War on Terror with serious physical and emotional wounds, Richard saw the need to reach out to these heroes and help them heal and recover.

The first Impact a Hero weekend in Houston was in 2005. Many events have been put in place since then to sponsor the different programs Impact a Hero offers. Their Run, Walk N Wheel 5k in Reliant is just one of the events. They also host a Gala and a Golf Tournament. Some of the programs that Impact a Hero provides include the donation of all-terrain wheelchairs for paralyzed veterans, financial aid for wounded heroes and their caregivers, holiday support, business aviation support and more!
